Heathlands Beach, Kessingland

Heathlands

The best weather we've had this year meant a no-brainer coast run in Stan to Heathlands Beach in Kessingland.

We pitched up lunchtime Saturday and absolutely revelled in the beautiful sunshine. The pitches are great here with plenty of room to spread out.

Facilities are great, again, with the big bonuses, besides the close beach, are the three pools and flume - which Leo loved.

Pool fun followed lunch with a cheeky beer in the Bar (and a couple of icecreams for Lau and Leo) before returning to our pitch.

After Leo had gone to sleep, Lau and I enjoyed a BBQ (as we took the Weber Smokey Joe) and a few glasses of wine. A bit of hot smoked salmon mouse, olive oil, balsamic and fresh bread whilst we waited for the BBQ to provide our supper before retiring for the night for a cosy nights sleep - with a few knudges from Leo now and again of course :0)

Morning saw a walk down to the beach through the cornfields and then another dip in the pool - and many journeys down the flume for daddy and Leo!

Verdict. Great campsite on the Suffolk Coast with good pitches and facilities. Good for the family, couples, groups alike and very welcoming. Would definately go again.
